Chinese New Year is upcoming

Chinese New Year, the greatest festival of Chinese people, is called 'Lunar New year' or 'Spring Festival' (春节). New year eve is on this Saturday, Feb. 9th. 

Now most people are getting busier in order do good preparation for it. 
During this festival, Chinese families have a lot of customs, such as:

1. Playing firecrackers and fireworks for celebration.

2. Family members have a big dinner together at new year eve. This dinner is called "年夜饭", also represents entire family's re-unity.

3. Elders give children lucky money sealed in red envelops, which's called "红包".

 4. People would like to give good wishes to each other. The commonly used greetings are "春节快乐", "过年好", "恭喜发财", "万事如意"...
